No – Prior experience is not required. Whether you’re new to the field or looking to reskill or upskill, our programs are built to meet you where you are and prepare you for real-world work.
Yes – SamPoly is built with stackable programs. Stackable programs let you build your education step by step. You can start with a short-term credential—like a Level I Certificate—then add on a Level II Certificate or an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree when you’re ready.
The best part? You can earn a credential, get a job, and come back later to continue your education, or keep working while stacking the next credential or earn your bachelor’s degree. This flexible approach helps you grow your skills and career on your own timeline, without starting over.
Yes – Federal Financial Aid is available for SHSU Polytechnic Programs (at least for the three available currently). Future program eligibility will be evaluated to ensure they meet the requirements with the Department of Education to offer Title IV (federal aid) to students enrolled in the program.
